Hydroponics Fodder Project

In India, a shortage of green animal-feed reduces the volume of milk produced, the birthweight of calves, and the potential income of poor farmers. A DM award will help Greenfield Hydroponic Systems, Inc. convert small plots of wasteland into hydroponic greenhouses, using solar and wind-powered technologies to produce green fodder year-round. The project is expected to raise milk yields, calf birthweights and incomes.

The Rotating Fodder Machine enables growers to produce fresh fodder of around 700,000 kilos per year equivalent to 50 acres (200,000 sq meters of grass pasture). This is approximately 2000 kilos per day every day of regular supply of fodder 365 days a year of high quality stock feed in both protein and calcium. Try to beat that!

Guess what! I found one that was invented in 2002 in Australia. Chapeau Internet ! So here are some pictures of an incredible rotating hydroponic machine!

It ‘s still puzzle me! This is the kind of invention that should be known around the world! Experts in food management still think in terms on tractors, it is time that this be changed!
